Ankara Miami Brunch event

Hey love foodies so the food demonstration with Ankara Miami was awesome. We made akara and moi moi. (All with beans for my non African friends) And it all took less than 50 minutes to make. Yuppp. (considering typically the beans cleaning usually takes hours) From cleaning the beans to eating it. Ankara Miami this was a lovely event. And the cookies went pretty fast lol. And @essieizspicy it was awesome seeing your goodies in the baggies. We need to catch up soon.

Moi Moin- aka blended black eyed peas

Happy Sunday Foodies. Presentation is so important. Blame my mother for making me eat with my eyes. As a kid, if the food did not look pretty I was so not going to have a piece of it. Ha! who knew God would use that on me now! The moi-moi I made for breakfast yesterday. Moi Moi was a typical Saturday breakfast in my home as a kid. Some things just don’t change, they just evolve.
Moi-Moi- peeled and Blended black eyed beans. add red pepper, onion, tomatoes, spices, raw eggs and garnish with boiled egg and sardines or anything else you would like. Steam cook for 30-40 minutes. I use souffle bowls for my shape.

Cheers…

Breakfast is served!!!

DID YOU KNOW? Breakfast literally means ‘breaking the fast’ after a good night’s sleep. Most people do not eat for up to 12 hours between the time of their evening meal and breakfast on the following day – The first meal of the day is the most important because it supplies the body and brain with the necessary nutrients after a night’s sleep. – Kellogg’s
